15th ISBC Marlene DeLuca Prize

MARLENE DELUCA PRIZE

The Prize is aimed specifically to encourage younger researchers. In 1988, the Marlene DeLuca Prize was initiated by Dr. Fritz Berthold at the 5th Symposium in Florence, Italy. The prize is in memory of Marlene DeLuca's many contributions to the science of chemi- and bioluminescence. It has been presented at each biennial symposium since that date. The prize is open to all Symposium participants who are aged below 35 years by the Symposium starting date. Prizewinners are judged on their abstracts and presentations (poster or lecture) by a Committee from the International Society for Bioluminescence & Chemiluminescence (ISBC) and chaired by ISBC President. The winners are announced at the Symposium Gala Dinner.

In this Symposium, the Marlene DeLuca Prize will be sponsored again very kindly by Dr. Fritz Berthold and his company, Berthold Technologies GmbH, Bad-Wildbad, Germany (http://www.bertholdtech.com/). When the abstract is submitted, the author who will not have reached the age of 35 yeas before 13 May 2008 should carefully fill and sign the relevant items in the Abstract Submitting Form so as to confirm the desire and eligibility to be a candidate for the prizewinner.
