ICSG YOUNG SCIENTIST TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS

Young scientist travel fellowships to the sum of $1000 US will be made available to graduate students and young post-doctoral researchers to attend ICSG 2006. A total of 20 "ISGO - NIH Protein Structure Initiative Student Travel Fellowships" have kindly been provided by the International Structural Genomics Organization (ISGO) and the NIH Protein Structure Initiative. We are currently in the process of confirming the availability of more young scientist travel fellowships to be generously provided by our commercial sponsors and organizations. Applications for young scientist travel fellowships should be made using the application form and sent together with the following supporting documents to Ms. Shunyi Wei at Secretariat to ICSG 2006, Institute of Biophysics, 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100101, China, wsy@moon.ibp.ac.cn:

  • An abstract;
  • A brief CV;
  • A cover letter explaining why the applicant should be considered for a fellowship;
  • A supporting letter from the applicant¡¯s academic supervisor, including confirmation of student or post-doctoral status.

The deadline for application is July 31, 2006.

Please note: applications for young scientist travel fellowships will be evaluated by a committee and fellowships will be awarded to those judged to be the most deserving candidates. Applications submitted without the accompanying documents will not be considered. Fellowships will be awarded during the ICSG 2006 conference. Successful applicants are still required to register in the usual way and are responsible for their own registration, accommodation and travel expenses.
